A Beginners Guide to Social Entrepreneurship’ is a culmination of what we have learned over the past few years working closely with young social entrepreneurs and is a tool for sharing the stories, challenges and insights of young people who had an idea and ran with it. The aim of this guide is to share our learning in the hope that it will support future young people who have ideas to make their world better.

Over the past 12 years we’ve supported more than 5,500 young people to start their journeys as social entrepreneurs. We give them cash awards and support so they can turn something they feel passionate about into a real project to make their community a better place to live in.
We are increasingly working with partners to develop an ecosystem of support for budding social entrepreneurs.
Social Switch On bootcamp session
We’re giving you the chance to join one of 30 bootcamp sessions we’re holding around the country from April 2014.
Our bootcamps will inspire your NCS young people to develop a social action activity into a ‘social venture’.
Your NCS graduates will start to understand what being a ‘social entrepreneur’ is all about.
UnLtd’s mission is to reach out and unleash the energies of people who can transform the world in which they live. We call these people social entrepreneurs.
Young people are central to UnLtd’s work. For more than a decade we have supported over 5,700 young social entrepreneurs.

NCS is a way for 15 to 17 year olds living in England and Northern Ireland to make extraordinary friendships, learn the skills they don’t teach you in class and create unforgettable memories.
