Draw a basic outline of a person representing you on a large piece of paper, at the centre of your figure draw a small heart. Using post – it notes, write down things which are most important to you i.e. family, religion, music, human rights, loyalty, football, your education, freedom, being creative etc. Anything that you value highly, write it down on a post-it. Be honest with what you truly value most. Once you are finished, place the post it’s on your person. Place the things that are most important closest to your heart and things that are less important further away from your heart. When you are finished reflect on some of the following:
- How often do you spend your time focusing on the things that you value most?
- Could you imagine the post-it notes changing? Becoming more or less important to you?
- What are the events in your life that have had an impact on what you value?
- What have you learned?
You can take a picture and stick it in this book, as a useful reminder of what you value most.
